There is a very nice extension for Thunderbird, which allows you to bounce/redirect mails without changing them. Unfortunately the original package doesn’t work for Thunderbird 2.0. So I just patched the package to extend the compatibility range up to version 2.0.x and it seems to work without problems. Try yourself:

I don’t know what you had to change. The version 0.7.4 I have been using for months has never had a problem redirecting. The official version from addons.mozilla.org says Thunderbird: 0.7 – 2.0.0.*
The version you can download now doesn’t work with 2.0.*. In the install.rdf file of the package the compatibility range is set from 0.7 – 1.5.* only. Maybe it has some side effects on 2.0.*, and so they changed it. So using my version is on your own risk of course!
I thought I was using the official version, but obviously there is a working version already included in the openSUSE RPM.
Strange, I also use openSUSE (10.3), and for me the preinstalled add-on didn’t work. I even had to remove that before I could install the patched one.
Thanks for the update. It’s working on my thunderbird 2.0.0.16. I got recently an error stipulating it is not working on my version.
